Overall the stay was good. We stayed for 12 nights. They have a good pool and pool area. Staff were friendly and helpful. We did book a tour with the hotel to go to Ihla grande that got messed up. We were supposed to go on a Tuesday at 8 but we were woken up at 7 with calls from the lobby telling us we were late and the guide was leaving. They had forgotten to let us know of a change of time for the tour and sent us to some bus station where the guide was supposed to get us but nobody showed so an hour later we went back to the hotel. They rescheduled our tour for the next day. There is a gym at the hotel which is ok, most of the equipment is a bit flimsy and doesn’t work but there are treadmills and weights that work. I do not recommend the hotel restaurant. We ordered a pizza and a salad, there was a strange smell of the salad and the pizza was poor quality (no sauce only cheese although it said sauce on the menu) The location is good, right next to Flamengo beach.

Once we checked in, we got a room with mold, but the staff changed it immediately. The room electricity only worked with the key in the slot, and we wanted to sleep and there was a light connected to the key, so if we wanted to sleep in the dark, but wanted the AC on, it wasn’t possible. The pool is very small and crowded but the rooftop is cozy and well planned. The building was being remodeled, that was a bit inconvenient at the lobby. At any hotel you can leave luggage in the lobby, this one they charged for it. Breakfast is great, and front desk staff is friendly and helping, especially Danilo. Diogo the butler was the highlight of the stay. Location is great, everything nearby.

The location was great. The room was perfect. The views were nice, and we had great breakfast every morning. The facilities were very clean, and the staff was very attentive, especially when we needed special accommodations or we needed to replace our key cards, and if we lost our cards, they were very gracious and helpful in letting us back in the lobby. Doorman was there. 24/7, it felt secure, and the area was fun, especially during Carnival.

Hotel has a great location and safe area of Rio de Janeiro. Just a few minutes walking for restaurants and also if you are going to go the beach and other tourist attractions. Just a few minutes walking from the hotel you find a park nearby the church who sells tickets to various tourist attractions Like sugar loaf mountains and the Jesus christ statue. They drive a mini van with tourists to this places.

Tony

This hotel offers good value for money in Catete, near Flamengo beach, a great place with a large park and a stunning view to the sugar loaf. The hotel's rooftop has a view to the Corcovado, with the statue of the Christ on top. The neighbourhood offers plenty of bars and restaurants and you can easily reach the main attractions in Rio.
